About the board:
The Solana model combines the characteristics of a Performance board with those of an Alternative board.
The bottom curve has been smoothed, making the board more friendly with easy control and mobility on the wave.
The outline is generous, with more volume from midsection to the nose, without compromising performance in short, quick arcs. The bottom has a moderate concave that helps connect weaker or fuller sections of the wave.
The rails are medium to low thickness, increasing precision in turns. Combined with the wings in the outline, the water flow breaks naturally, creating a pivot point for short, quick turns.
The diamond tail is the finishing touch on this model—a tail popular in California and Hawaii in the 1980s, now added to our board line. The three points of the diamond act like three mini fins, generating a pivot for more control.
The bottom features a single concave transitioning into a double concave (triple concave) and finishing with a super soft vee at the tail. This bottom, combined with the tail curve, generates plenty of speed, making the board responsive in maneuvers.
The Solana has greater paddling power compared to traditional performance boards and excellent planing ability. It’s ideal for everyday waves, whether hollow or full, from 0.5 to 1.5 meters.
