About the board:
Our new model, the SD – San Diego Shortboard, was designed with the ideal board for everyday waves in Southern California in mind. The SD performs great on medium-full beach breaks like Del Mar and Leucadia, as well as on hollow waves like La Jolla and Sunset Cliffs. Due to its versatility, the SD is also the perfect board for a surf trip anywhere on the East Coast.
We based the design on the Yes Thanks, adding more volume through increased width and thickness. The rails have a low apex, and the deck features a considerable dome, helping to maximize overall volume.
The SD has a pronounced single concave, generating high speed, which helps you get through the flat spots of the wave. We recommend riding the SD 2–4 inches shorter than your everyday high-performance board to fully enjoy the loose, fast, and precise maneuverability this model delivers.
