About the board:
The Winning Stab in the Dark Board
The Inferno 72 is the Sharpeye surfboard model built for the 2021 Stab in the Dark competition. This board is a PU/PE replica of the Dark Arts Epoxy board that won the contest.
The Inferno 72 was originally designed for Filipe Toledo to compete in The Surf Ranch Pro in 2020. Filipe ended up winning the event. When Sharpeye shaper Marcio Zouvi was approached by Stab to enter the Dark Arts edition, he chose to submit the Inferno 72.
The Inferno 72 is an upgraded version of the Disco Inferno, a QS favorite tested and proven. We added more rocker in the entry and exit for increased drive in turns and control. It performs best in small to medium waves and, like the Disco Inferno, the Inferno 72 is a high-performance surfboard capable of handling almost any wave condition while maintaining its signature characteristics.
