This board evolved from a mix of Project Black models we’ve developed over the years for our team rider Kobi Clements. While Kobi has progressed into high-performance models, the DNA of this board remains fast, forgiving, and reliable for any grom from intermediate to advanced level.
Essentially, we’ve slightly pulled in the nose and tail while widening the outline, resulting in a board that allows you to ride it 1–3 inches shorter than your standard shortboard. With added width under the front foot and a pulled-in squash tail, it delivers quick acceleration while maintaining enough foam to glide through dead sections.
A more rounded outline (the key difference from our previous Grom model) makes turning much easier and helps take your surfing to the next level. Don’t be mistaken—this board is extremely user-friendly for all ages and skill levels. Groms, come get it.
