About the board:
The next generation in our mid-length category was inspired by James’ trip to the Mentawai Islands in Indonesia with his son. With a quiver of the popular Mid Strength models—primarily used in East Coast Australian conditions—he saw an opportunity to create something different: a more progressive performance outline while still maintaining the key attributes of the much-loved Mid Strength.
What’s the difference between the Mid Strength and the Full Strength?
1) The Full Strength outline has been slightly pulled in at the nose (by 1/8”), reducing front-end drag. The tail is also narrower, creating a clean round tail and giving it more of a shortboard feel. This allows for improved performance and higher speeds, while still maintaining the paddle power of the Mid Strength
2)The Full Strength features lower rails with a more rolled deck, allowing for more progressive surfing and increased hold on the wave face—especially at higher speeds when the waves are firing.
If you love the Mid Strength, it’s highly recommended to add the Full Strength to your quiver for bigger, more powerful waves or simply for better days.
