About the board:
Missing that perfect wave feeling? We’ve got the perfect board to complete your quiver. The second generation of the Faded was designed for more powerful yet smaller waves. This board offers great paddle power while still delivering high-performance surfing.
Created by Jay Davies through his surf trip experience, he identified the need for a fast board in quality waves. This model has been tested in breaks ranging from Costa Rica to West Oz. Originally designed for barreling waves, but don’t worry—it will glide like butter in waves from 3 to 8 feet.
OUTLINE:
The Faded 2.0 features a fuller nose (for easier paddling) with a relatively flat mid-section, flowing into a round pin tail.
ROCKER:
The board has a smooth entry and a subtle tail rocker. This complements the double concave with vee, resulting in a board that is extremely fast yet stable.
BOTTOM CONTOURS:
The bottom features a concave starting around 12 inches from the nose through to the middle, transitioning into a double concave, finishing with vee off the tail. This provides stability in fast, barreling waves where control is essential.
RAILS:
Low to medium. Ideal for holding a line in fast tubes.
WAVE RANGE:
3 to 8 feet.
SKILL LEVEL:
Intermediate to advanced surfers.
FINS:
Comes with a 5-fin setup. The fin cluster is intentionally placed slightly closer together, resulting in increased speed and stability.
PERFORMANCE:
When designing a performance board, all attributes must work together. The Faded 2.0 was built to do exactly that. The combination of outline, rocker, and bottom contours is what makes this board perform so well.
The first third of the board has a fuller outline, and when combined with a generous entry rocker, it creates the perfect balance for everything from powerful waves to smaller, weaker conditions.
