About the board:
Encinitas is our take on a classic Fish.
We added some special touches: the bottom contour has a hint of high-performance board, with a subtle concave in the middle, extending slightly forward, and a small channel near the fins on the tail for extra drive and acceleration. The outline has a bit more curve and slightly less nose area for shorter, tighter arcs.
The rails are slightly lower with a high-performance drop.
The idea is a board with a “fun, small-board feel” while keeping the basic Fish characteristics.
The Encinitas is easy to surf, very fast, and has excellent paddle power to catch waves.
Ideal fins: Keel fins, though large Twin Fins also work.
Best conditions: small to very small waves, up to about head-high depending on the surfer’s skill.
