The Blade is a direct descendant of the famous 1984 model. In 2014, Rusty Preisendorfer teamed up with Mark “Occy” Occhilupo to produce a reissue of 100 boards of his iconic “84” model.
A year ago, Rusty began receiving requests to refine the nose and slim down the tip. He also slightly modernized the bottom. Surfers who tried it went crazy. Since then, Rusty has been shaping them with four deep channels. He also gave it a very modern bottom with a deep single to double concave.
The main point is that practically everyone who has tried any of the different bottoms has been thrilled—and many have ordered more boards with extended length.
The Blade performs in a wide range of conditions. For now, we offer it with a smooth, subtle single concave to double concave, a four-channel deep concave, or a modern, deep single concave.
